Humans are perhaps one of the most common species located throughout the continents of Westeros and Essos. These are mortal beings that lack any special abilities that would otherwise separate them from the commonly known Homo sapiens. They do not possess any abilities to control elements or summon demonic assistants, nor do they possess the infinite knowledge that a child of the forest may; however, there is one thing that all humans seem to share and that is their undeniable courage, which makes itself known to even the most cowardly heart in times of great need and strife, when all hope seems to be lost. With this awakened courage, the human will fight until the last breath has been vanquished from their lungs, especially if their loved ones are in peril. While they are made of bone, blood, and flesh, there is no doubt that their courage makes them formidable foes on the battle fronts. Therefore, it is not wise to underestimate a human.
Humans are wrought with emotions. They are strong-headed and will usually fight for all that feels right for them (whether it may be good or bad), and often enough this may lead to a clouded judgement that may cause the human to easily fall into a path of deception. With this being said, humans have many weaknesses that are often preyed against by those of the "higher" species or those of their own kind. They possess a grand amount of greed and jealousy, following the oldest story in all books: wanting what they cannot have. This applies also to their loins, for with greed and jealousy comes their sins of lust. It is rare to find a man whom does not ache for the sensual touch of another; and often this temptation spurs them forth to commit obscene actions that may class the human as a barbaric thug. But again, assumptions are never the friend. Not all humans are clouded by this sins; there are the few rare pure-hearted spirits who have acquired a fair amount of intelligence that aids in their quest toward prosperity and happiness.
With this being said, humans possess the ability to acquire varying skill sets in terms of their lifestyles and fighting styles. In other words, while the humans' eyes are not as attuned to the natural world as the elves, they are able to make decent bowmen and hunters; while their strength and ferocity do not match that of the giants, they can make decent swordsmen and warriors. The only class that they may not fulfil is that of the mage for, as previously mentioned, they are not capable of adopting the sacred powers that those whom have been gifted them possess, nor could they ever acquire such knowledge in their lives.
Each human has a unique personality of their own, and there is no doubt that no two beings are the same.
